New portraits released to mark HM The Queen’s 90th birthday
Queen Elizabeth II turns 90 years old today and, to mark the milestone, The British Monarchy has released three new portraits of HM The Queen photographed by Annie Leibovitz.
In one of the shots, she poses with her two youngest grandchildren and her five great-grandchildren. Holding 11-month-old Princess Charlotte on her lap, the queen sits alongside (from left) eight-year-old James, Viscount Severn, and 12-year-old Lady Louise, The Earl and Countess of Wessex’s children; Zara and Mike Tindall’s two-year-old daughter Mia; five-year-old Savannah and four-year-old Isla, Peter and Autumn Phillips’s daughters; and, of course, two-year-old Prince George.
In the other she is pictured with her eldest child, the Princess Royal at Windsor Castle and walking her beloved dogs in the grounds of the castle.
HM the Queen was born on April 21, however celebrations will continue over the summer until her official birthday on June 11, with a huge extravaganza planned at Windsor Castle in May. For more details on what’s on store, here.
