The new Hotel Indigo Stratford-upon-Avon, previously The Falcon Hotel, opened its doors in April 2019 after a multi-million-pound major restoration project. The grade II-listed historic building, which
dates back to the 16th century, has been painstakingly restored over two years.
Now the decorative black and white half-timbered building is home to 93 lavish bedrooms, which are each designed one of three strikingly beautiful ways to reflect Stratford’s history, which stretches back to medieval times. The Tudor room style, for example, is inspired by William Shakespeare, who put Stratford-upon-Avon on the map. In fact, the hotel was formerly the venue where the original Shakespeare Club was founded in 1824, and is located directly opposite New Place, the home of the Bard in later life.
The Hotel Indigo’s rooms are luxuriously equipped with Hypnos beds and Egyptian cotton linen, spa-inspired bathrooms, Nespresso coffee machines, high-speed Wi-Fi and 40” flat screen TVs.
