    This vineyard has grown from its initial 8,000 vines in 1989 to become a multi award winner. Between April and October each year, visitors to the vineyard can take part in the Grand Tour and Tasting on Wednesday evenings where they will have the chance to sample some of Camel Valley’s most famous wines, including the Cornwall Brut.

    Pebblebed Vineyards

    Topsham, Devon

    Starting out as a community project in 1999, a group of friends set about planting a vineyard across eight acres of field in Devon, tending to the vines, harvesting the grapes and reaping the rewards of their hard work. Since then Pebblebed has continued to produce wine on a much larger scale and offers pre-booked guided tours of the site.

    Adgestone Vineyard

    Sandown, Isle of Wight

    First planted in 1968, the vineyard is set on the south facing slopes of the Isle of Wight, providing perfect frost-free conditions for the wine-making process. Adgestone is one of the oldest vineyards in Britain and its produce has even been enjoyed by Her Majesty The Queen. Take a tour of the winery cellars, which have been purpose built to produce the vineyard’s range of sparkling and English table wine.

    Halfpenny Green Vineyards

    South Staffordshire

    At almost 30 acres, Halfpenny Green is one of the largest vineyards in the UK. Take a tour of the site to learn more about the wine-making process and enjoy sampling a glass or two before dining in the award-winning restaurant. It is also possible to purchase a selection of fruit wines, food and gifts in the vineyard’s shop and deli.

    Ryedale Vineyards

    Westow, North Yorkshire

    As the largest vineyard in northern England and most northerly commercial vineyard in the UK, Ryedale has made a name for itself since its first vines were planted in 2006. Set across 10 acres at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds, the site offers a scenic day out.
