New Michelin star restaurants announced in 2015 Michelin Guide

    Fourteen British restaurants have gained their first coveted Michelin star for 2015 providing plenty of ideas for eating out.

    Food lovers now have even more reason to leave the cooking to the professionals and sample quality cuisine at over 180 Michelin star establishments across Britain as 14 additional restaurants have been added into the Michelin mix.

    The Michelin Guide has been the definitive guide to excellent dining for over 100 years with the first edition published in 1900. Renowned chefs including Michel Roux JR and Raymond Blanc are among those with Michelin stars to their names.

    Four restaurants across the country hold three Michelin stars, singled out for their ‘exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey’.

    A further 21 eateries hold two stars for their ‘excellent cooking, worth a detour’.

    While 142 places to eat are the proud owners of a single star, which is the mark of a restaurant with ‘very good cooking in its category’. It is within this category that the 14 new stars have been awarded.

    The new Michelin star restaurants in London are City Social the Clove Club, Fera at Claridge’s, Gymkhana, Barrafina, and Kitchen Table at Bubbledogs.

    The new Michelin star restaurants outside London are Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen, Cornwall; Trenby Arms, Devon; Cross at Kenilworth, Warwickshire; Star Inn, Yorkshire; Isle of Eriska, Argyl and Bute; The Three Chimneys at The House Over-By, Isle of Skye; Ynyshir Hall, Powys, and the Crown at Whitebrook, Monmouthshire.
