In a forest not so far, far away? Filming for the next Star Wars movie rumoured to be taking place in the Forest of Dean

With the arrival of what appears to be a large film crew at Puzzlewood in the Forest of Dean, rumours have started to spread that the atmospheric site might be one of the settings for the next Star Wars film due to be released at the end of 2015.

Puzzlewood has been used as a filming location for several BBC series, including Dr Who, Merlin and Atlantis as well as the 2013 feature film Jack the Giant Slayer. It is also reputed to be the inspiration for the forests of Middle Earth in JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, but it remains to be seen if the site will be claiming Star Wars among its on-screen appearances.
