Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant with second child

    Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child.

    The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news, which was officially announced by Clarence House on 8 September.

    As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess, aged 32, is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, and will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace, and it is understood that she has not yet reached the 12-week stage of her pregnancy.

    Fourteen-month old Prince George of Cambridge, was born 22 July 2013 to worldwide fanfare, and is third in line to the throne.
