Discover Britain takes Bronze in British Travel Awards 2016

    A58-bta16-Consumer-Mag-BronzeWe’re delighted to announce Discover Britain claimed Bronze in the Best Consumer Holiday Magazine category at the prestigious 2016 British Travel Awards. The announcement was made last night at a glamorous Gala Awards ceremony, held in London.

    Acting editor, Nicola Rayner, says: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted for Discover Britain in the British Travel Awards this year – we’re absolutely thrilled. It’s a joy to work on a title that explores Britain’s rich history and spectacular varied beauty and, after 30 years as a leading travel magazine, it is brilliant to know that our readers are still enjoying exploring with us .”

    This year 333,200 consumers registered to place their votes and a whopping 1,332,516 votes and opinions were cast between 4 July and 30 September 2016.

    British Travel Awards CEO, Lorraine Barnes Burton, says: “Our most sincere thanks to all the consumers who voted in this year’s awards – your votes and opinions are what really count for the winners of the BTAs – the only purely consumer voted awards in the travel industry – so thanks for taking the time to vote for your favourites.”
