Cornwall is a county of contrasts, from its rugged north coast to the gentler climes of its southern shores. Now Discover Britain readers have the opportunity to explore both in our exclusive competition. The prize for two includes a two-night stay and a three-course dinner at Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, in north Cornwall, as well as a one-day cookery course at Rick Stein’s Cookery School.
Plus, Discover Britain has teamed up with The Nare, an English country house hotel by the sea, overlooking Carne beach on the Roseland Peninsula. Considered the most comfortable hotel in Cornwall for the last 25 years, the hotel combines classic comforts with time-honoured luxury and is offering a one-night stay for our lucky pair.
St Michael’s Mount has also offered a pair of tickets to the castle and a cream tea for two in the Sail Loft restaurant, although, please note, this attraction closes for winter on 31 October 2016 and reopens in spring 2017.
In the charming fishing port of Padstow, Rick Stein’s Cookery School is a must for foodies – and with over 40 courses to choose from there is something for everyone.
But it’s not just about seafood, other interesting day courses focus on Indian street food, Far Eastern cookery, Italian and Spanish tapas to name a few, with patisserie sessions and one-dish evening workshops as well. Whichever you choose, the freshest produce and expert chef guidance will help you to create impressive dishes. Courses start from £30. Call 01841 532700 for more information.
